Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Champaign County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's rules and privacy practices apply to its handling of the request.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the message and contact details as needed to answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical details when a page loads, including:
- The device's Internet Protocol address.
- The browser name and version.
- The device category and operating system.
- Pages visited and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.

Links lead to Sheriff and corrections pages, government record portals, release resources, and outside search tools. After you follow a link, the destination's privacy policy controls its collection and use of data. Champaign County Released Inmates does not govern those practices.
Some advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across multiple websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs under the advertising partner's technology and policy, not as a record stored by this site.

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be provided to:
- Search partners that process submitted queries.

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If a minor submitted personal data, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.

Official Illinois records held by a sheriff, court, IDOC, or another agency are controlled by that office and applicable law, including the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. A request to us does not alter an agency record.
